The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) organization helps low- to moderate-income families and individuals prepare their tax returns. Heritage is seeking volunteers for the 2024 tax season. You can earn hours for any time spent training and taking the certifications and time spent volunteering throughout tax season.
Do you want to volunteer, but you're intimidated? No worries, United Way will guide you by providing training for basic and advanced preparers. All tax returns are completed with the help of software that helps you through the process. Don't worry because United Way will be double-checking the work to ensure that the form is completed correctly.
